Wren is slightly obsessed with bubbles right now. The bubbles sit on a shelf in the garage and EVERY time we pull in, she looks at me with the sweetest grin and says, "Bubbles?" She continues to repeat this over and over and over again until we play with bubbles or I distract her by allowing her to close the garage door. If we do play with bubbles, she knows the drill. As I am getting down the supplies, she sits her happy booty down on the driveway (she knows she gets no bubbles until she is sitting down). She then dips her wand in and either blows or swings it around. She has just started trying to catch them and it's so cute to watch her running around after them. She will play with her for as long at I let her (about 30 minutes) and even after that much time, she still fusses when I put them away. If we can't play- which has been a lot lately due to the rain, she points to the camera and asks to watch the following video about her playing with the bubbles. Needless to say, she has the focused, driven mind of her daddy! Watch out world!

Parakeet Feeding at the Zoo
Wren liked the idea of the birds while looking at them from teh safety of her stroller, but once we got inside the tent, she wasn't so sure. We kept trying to get her to hold the stick, but she would only hold it if there were no birds nearby.
Family Day at the Zoo

A couple of weeks ago, when the weather was sunny, cool, and perfect, our family set out for a day at the Fort Worth Zoo! I had taken Wren to the zoo when she was about 12 months old and she liked it, but she is now at an age where she LOVES it!!! We got a kick out of her watching the animals and learning their names (she really liked the zebras!). The parakeet feeding was also fun. I think Wren was more freaked out than interested, but we will win her over :). Most of all, Wren loved being with both of us! It's amazing to me how, already, she is happiest with mommy AND daddy. If Brance is holding her and I am nearby, she will reach out and motion for me to come closer so that we can have a group hug. So cute and a vivid reminder to me that we are both so vitally important in Wren's life and family time is a must!
